Please check your preparation carefully: Preparation differs between abdominal, pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound. Following the correct instructions helps the clinician obtain the clearest possible images.
Available ultrasound scans
- Abdominal Ultrasound — a radiation-free scan of the organs and soft tissues within the abdomen
- Thyroid and Neck Ultrasound — a detailed examination of the thyroid gland and selected structures in the neck
- Pelvic Ultrasound — an external scan used to assess organs within the pelvis
- Transvaginal Ultrasound — an internal pelvic ultrasound providing detailed images of the uterus and ovaries
- Vascular Ultrasound for Suspected DVT — a Doppler examination used to look for a blood clot in the deep veins of the leg
