Plan Ahead

Where are you going?

The health advice you need depends not only on the country you’re visiting, but where within that country you’re travelling, the time of year, the length of your stay, and what you’ll be doing while you’re there. A week in a major city may present very different considerations from trekking, rural travel, backpacking, or an extended stay.

Tell us about your journey before your appointment, and we can make your consultation more relevant to you.

Vaccinations

Travel vaccinations

Depending on your destination, previous vaccination history and type of travel, additional vaccinations may be recommended. Your consultation reviews both your routine vaccinations and any travel-specific vaccinations that may be appropriate for your journey.

Recommendations are individualised — not every traveller visiting the same country necessarily requires exactly the same vaccinations. Where a recommended vaccine or certification isn’t available directly from our clinic, we’ll advise you accordingly and direct you to an appropriate service where necessary.

Don’t leave it until the last minute

Whenever possible, arrange your Travel Clinic consultation at least 4–6 weeks before departure. Some vaccinations require more than one dose, or need time to provide optimal protection.

Adventure & Remote Travel
