Dr Farrugia Preca graduated in Medicine from the University of Malta in 2008 and completed specialist training in Family Medicine in 2013. She has extensive experience in both hospital and primary care settings, with a particular interest in child health, immunisation and preventive medicine.
Her postgraduate qualifications include a Postgraduate Certificate in Infectious Diseases from the University of London, the European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care, and a Master’s degree in Paediatrics and Child Health from Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Dr Farrugia Preca has extensive experience in child and youth health and immunisation, including service as National Immunisation Service Manager. She is also strongly committed to medical education and has been involved in the supervision and mentoring of newly qualified doctors, as well as postgraduate training in Family Medicine.
She joined the Professional Services Centre Family Medicine Group Practice in 2026, where, in addition to providing comprehensive Family Medicine services, she holds particular responsibility for Child Developmental Screening and the Travel Clinic.
Her approach combines comprehensive family care with a strong emphasis on prevention, vaccination and child health, supporting patients and their families through all stages of life.
