Travel Clinic
Travel prepared.
Travel protected.
Personalised pre-travel health advice, built around your journey — not just your destination.
Whether you’re planning a family holiday, an adventure further afield, a business trip or an extended stay abroad, good preparation can help you travel with confidence. The Travel Clinic at Professional Services Centre looks at where you’re going, how long you’ll be away, what you plan to do, and your individual health — together.
Your journey starts before you leave
Travel health is about much more than vaccinations. Different destinations, activities and types of travel carry different health risks — and your age, medical history, regular medication and previous vaccinations may also affect the advice that’s right for you. At your pre-travel consultation, we assess you and your journey together, and provide advice tailored to your plans.
Where are you going?
The health advice you need depends not only on the country you’re visiting, but where within that country you’re travelling, the time of year, the length of your stay, and what you’ll be doing while you’re there. A week in a major city may present very different considerations from trekking, rural travel, backpacking, or an extended stay.
Tell us about your journey before your appointment, and we can make your consultation more relevant to you.
Travel vaccinations
Depending on your destination, previous vaccination history and type of travel, additional vaccinations may be recommended. Your consultation reviews both your routine vaccinations and any travel-specific vaccinations that may be appropriate for your journey.
Recommendations are individualised — not every traveller visiting the same country necessarily requires exactly the same vaccinations. Where a recommended vaccine or certification isn’t available directly from our clinic, we’ll advise you accordingly and direct you to an appropriate service where necessary.
Don’t leave it until the last minute
Whenever possible, arrange your Travel Clinic consultation at least 4–6 weeks before departure. Some vaccinations require more than one dose, or need time to provide optimal protection.
Travelling sooner?

When should I book my Travel Clinic appointment?
Ideally arrange your consultation 4–6 weeks before departure. If you’re travelling sooner, contact us anyway — useful preventive measures may still be possible.
Do I need vaccinations for my trip?
This depends on your destination, itinerary, previous vaccination history, medical history and planned activities. Your doctor will assess this during the consultation.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring your itinerary, vaccination record if available, medication list, and relevant medical information.
I don’t have my vaccination records. Can I still attend?
Yes. Provide as much information as you can and discuss this with your doctor.
I’m travelling in less than four weeks. Is it too late?
No. Contact the Travel Clinic even if departure is approaching.
Can my whole family be assessed?
