Dr Mark Abela is a Cardiologist with specialist expertise in Sports Cardiology, inherited cardiac conditions, cardiac screening and cardiac rehabilitation.

A University of Malta graduate, he is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London and holds postgraduate Master’s degrees in Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh and Sports Cardiology from St George’s University of London. He also undertook a fellowship in Sports Cardiology and Inherited Cardiac Conditions at St George’s Hospital, London.

His clinical interests include cardiac assessment, ECG and echocardiography, cardiovascular risk, sports participation and the evaluation of athletes and physically active individuals.
